History
Holy Name School opened in September 1941. Our school has continued to grow under the leadership of 7 Pastors since 1941. The Sisters of Mercy were a critical part of our school's foundation and we continue to be supported by the Lay Canossian Sisters. Our first lay principal, Mrs. Noreen Murphy, began in 1985 and retired after 21 years of dedicated service. Mrs. Judy Cosmos lovingly served as principal from 2008 - 2015 and continues to serve as one of our substitute teachers. The next principal, Mrs. Natalie Cirigliano-Brosnan spearheaded the Seismic Retrofit project and integrated technology into all classrooms when she served between 2015 - 2019. Our current principal, Mr. Michael Miller, has served as principal for the past 5 years and guided the Holy Name School community through the Covid-19 pandemic, ensuring that student and teacher health was protected while maintaining the academic rigor and social importance to being in an in-person school environment. His vision is to continue to innovate and expand the academic and co-curricular offerings and to ready the school for the mid-21st century for Holy Name students and families. Holy Name School has proudly nourished its students for over 80 years!
