Alice Ho Seher, Director

Alice Ho Seher-Director, Ms. Alice grew up in North Beach and graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in English. She has a Master's Degree in Human Development with a Specialization in Leadership in Education from Pacific Oaks College. She also holds a Director's Permit. Alice has been involved in the Early Childhood field for over thirty years. Alice and her husband have three children who attended Holy Name School, went on to St. Ignatius College Preparatory and are now pursuing their life dreams. She enjoys reading, yoga, travel, hiking, watching the Golden State Warriors and spending time with her family and friends.

Joseph Fernicola, Teacher

Joseph Fernicola-Teacher, Mr. Joseph has a Masters in Elem Ed, a Bachelors in Education, a Multi-Subject Credential, 24 units in ECE and a minor in English. He has taught science to K-6, ELA to Kinder and 2nd grade, TK for 5 years, and one year of TK Spanish Immersion. He worked for 10 years in NYC schools and 7 years at SFUSD. Joseph is fluent in Spanish. He is now happy to work at Holy Name Preschool! Mr. Joe's hobbies include biking, attending local Farmer Markets, and watching movies.

Bryan Guevara-Teacher

Bryan Guevara-Teacher-Mr. Bryan grew up in Whittier, in Southern California. He has been working with preschool children since his senior year in high school. Mr. Bryan attended Long Beach State College where he earned his Early Childhood Certification. He enjoys concerts, dancing and trying new food spots in the city with his friends.

Paula Kim, Teacher

Paula Kim-Teacher/Site Supervisor-Ms. Paula grew up in San Francisco and makes her home in the Mission Terrace neighborhood. She obtained her degree in Speech Communication and Rhetoric from UC Davis. Paula loves working with preschoolers who keep her young at heart!! She holds a Program Director Permit, but her true joy is being in the classroom with the kids.

Bernadette Munoz-Teacher

Bernadette Munoz-Aide, Ms.Bernadette grew up in the central valley. She moved to the Bay Area and attended high school in Pacifica. She is a recent graduate of USF with a degree in Psychology. Ms. Bernadette recently obtained 14 units in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Bernadette loves to attend concerts, travel, and likes learning new languages. She enjoys working with the children at the preschool.

Makinna Newkirk-Teacher

Makinna Newkirk-Teacher-Ms. Makinna grew up in Livermore, California. She currently holds 36 units in Early Childhood Development and is attending National University to obtain her Multiple-subject Credential. She received her BA in Early Childhood Education from National University. Ms. Makinna loves working with children and has six years of experience working in preschools and elementary schools. She is looking forward to collaborating with the parents on their children's needs and providing them with a positive social and emotional learning experience! Ms.Makinna recently was engaged to her longtime partner, Nick.

Janice Pearcy, Assistant Teacher

Janice Pearcy-Aide, Ms. Janice is a native San Franciscan. She attended Mercy San Francisco, City College and SF State. She worked in the business world and is now enjoying working with children. Janice and her husband enjoy listening to music and watching the Niners and the Giants.

Nicole Quon-Teacher

Nicole Quon-Teacher-Ms. Nicole was born and raised in San Francisco. She received her Child Development Certification at SF City College. Ms. Nicole obtained her BA in Early Childhood Education from National University and is currently working toward a Multi-Subject Credentail. Ms. Nicole has over fifteen years of experience working with young children. She is the mother of two children. Ms. Nicole enjoys cooking, trying new foods, spending time with her family and being a Girl Scout leader.

Anna Sklarz-Assistant Teacher

Anna Sklarz-Teaching Assistant-Ms. Anna is so happy to be a member of the Holy Name family! She was born and raised in the Philippines. Ms. Anna attended St. Theresa's College from Kindergarten through high school. She obtained her BS in Hotel & Restaurant Administration at the University of the Philippines, Ms. Anna is currently completing her online studies at UCLA to obtain an Associate Teacher certification. She is blessed with three children, Lorenzo, Finn and Lana. Finn attends the Holy Name elementary school and Lana attends the preschool.

Francesca Tringali-Teacher

Francesca Tringali-Teacher- Ms. Francesca was raised in Pacifica, CA and has stayed in the Bay Area most of her life. She has twenty years of experience working with preschool children. Francesca obtained her ECE certificate locally from Skyline College. She has found Early Childhood Education to be her passion and enjoys providing open ended art and music opportunities for children. Francesca's hobbies include walks with her husband and their dog Muppet who is blind. She also enjoys gardening and cooking.

Pamela Tsang, Teacher

Pamela Tsang-Teacher, Ms. Pam is a native San Franciscan. She attended ICA-Immaculate Conception Academy. Ms. Pam went on to Skyline College earning her degree in Early Childhood Education. She is married and enjoys all Bay Area Sports, including the Giants, the Niners and the Warriors!

Caroline Urrutia-Teacher

Caroline Urrutia-Teacher-Ms. Caroline is so excited to be a member of the Holy Name family. As a Holy Name alumni, she is so happy to be a part of a community that positively impacted her as a youth and has provided her with such great memories. Her journey into teaching began when her daughter started preschool. Ms. Caroline went back to City College to obtain her Early Childhood Education certification. She also has a BA in Art History from SF State University. Ms. Caroline worked at the Helen Diller Preschool for seven years which provided her with a strong foundation. She loves being a mom to her daughte, Claire and her goofy dog, Leo.

Lucy Xiao, Teacher

Lucy Xiao -Teacher/Site Supervisor, Ms. Lucy was born and raised in the Sunset district of San Francisco. She received her bachelors degree in Liberal studies with an emphasis in elementary school teaching from San Francisco State University. She started teaching preschool in 2009. Lucy has her Site Supervisor Permit. Lucy has worked in various preschool settings to further enrich her experience. In her spare time, Lucy enjoys physical fitness hobbies such as lifting weights, cardio kickboxing and boot camp classes. She is also a bay area sports fan rooting for the 49ers, Warriors, and Giants with her family and friends. Ms.Lucy and her husband, Max, a Holy Name alumni, enjoy spending time with their daughter, Maya.
