School Uniforms

Holy Name Uniform

School uniforms are available at both Dennis Uniform and Classic Designs.

All students are required to wear complete uniforms every day unless otherwise specified.

Full dress uniform is to be worn on all Mass days and on special occasions.

K - 8 Female Students:
  • Students may wear plain white, short/long sleeve t-shirts under their polos only.
  • Uniform skirts/skorts should be no shorter than 2 inches from the top of the knee
  • Shoes - Tennis shoes only. All white, all black, or a combination of white or black shoes may be worn. Shoes may not have designs, lights, or wheels. Logos may only be worn if they are white or black. Soles must also be all white or all black with no color.
  • Socks - White, blue, or black socks that can be seen above the ankle. White or navy tights and knee-highs may be worn.
  • Hair/Makeup - Hair should be clean and neat. Bangs are to be above eyebrows. Shaved hairstyles are not allowed. Dyed/highlighted hair is not allowed. No makeup is allowed.
  • Jewelry - Stud earrings only are allowed. Bracelets and necklaces may be worn as long as they are not in excess, do not make noise, or cause distractions in the classroom.
  • Nail Polish - Only clear nail polish is allowed.
  • Leggings and Tights - Students may only wear white or navy blue tights under their uniforms. Yoga pants are not allowed.
K - 8 Male Students:
  • Students may wear plain white, short/long sleeve t-shirts under their polos only.
  • Belts encouraged.
  • Shirts are to be tucked in while inside the building.
  • Shoes - Tennis shoes only. All white, all black, or a combination of white or black shoes may be worn. Shoes may not have designs, lights, or wheels. Logos may only be worn if they are white or black. Soles must also be all white or all black with no color.
  • Socks - White, blue, or black socks that can be seen above the ankle.
  • Hair/Makeup - Hair should be clean and neat. Bangs are to be above eyebrows and are to be above the ears and above the collar. Shaved heads, designs in the hair, tails, fauxhawks, and mohawks are not allowed. Dyed/highlighted hair is not allowed. Hair must be at least ΒΌ in. in length. Older boys are to be clean shaven. Makeup is not allowed.
  • Jewelry - Earrings are not allowed. Bracelets and necklaces may be worn as long as they are not in excess, do not make noise, or cause distractions in the classroom.

Holy Name Sweatshirts

Only Holy Name sweaters and sweatshirts may be worn inside the school building from 8am - 3pm. Students may wear Holy Name sweatshirts and/or jackets over, but not in place of, their school sweaters.

Panther/Spirit Wear

Panther Spirit Days will be on Fridays only (or when issued by the Student Council or Administration). Students are allowed to wear Holy Name Panther Wear to school. Students may wear anything that can be purchased from the Panther Pride Store, except for hats, which may not be worn indoors. Jeans/non-Spirit clothing may not be worn in place or in conjunction with spirit wear.

The Panther Wear Store is open in 3 weeks increments. Upon store "closure", orders placed during that 3 week period will be processed and ship 2-3 weeks thereafter. Each item is individually printed/embroidered upon store "closure". The store will reopen the following day. Please check the store website for open and closing dates. When ordering for a particular sport, please allow enough time (3 weeks after store closure date) to receive your order. I.e. when ordering for baseball (season starting March 1st), please place your order by the end of January, etc."


Free Dress

On Free Dress days students may wear non-Holy Name clothing. Students are encouraged to express their personality while honoring the following conditions:

  • Students may not wear shirts that have alcohol/drug references, offensive language or unacceptable or inappropriate connotations
  • For safety reasons, students may not wear flip-flops or shoes with wheels. Sandals may be worn is they have a back or ankle straps
  • Tops may not be worn that show midriffs, are low cut, or have spaghetti straps
  • Tank tops or sleeveless shirts may not be worn
  • Athletic leggings/tights or tight pants may not be worn
  • Standard leggings may be worn under skirts, dresses, or long sweaters/shirts that go past the mid- thigh.
  • Any shorts, shirts, or dresses worn must be no shorter than two inches from the top of the knee
  • Students may not wear hats inside the building

Uniform Recycling Program

Throughout the school year, our 8th grade room parents a uniform sale for gently worn uniform items. It helps with Holy Name's mission of being a more responsibly sustainable community/
